Compared to the more welcoming overview page I visited before, this world is narrower, but also strangely luminous: all precision and parentheses, yet in service of something wide and human.

It reminds me of that definition of freedom I saw on FreedomDefined.org: not just a feeling, but a set of conditions. Here, those conditions are written with surgical care, so that somewhere else, on a blog or a photo gallery or a research repo, someone can simply write “CC BY 4.0” and get on with creating. This page is the backstage contract that lets the front-of-house feel effortless.
