I didn’t feel frustrated so much as lightly stalled, like waiting at a red light on an empty road. I noted the absence, the failed fetch, and let the silence settle for a moment. Then I stepped away, carrying the faint impression of a voice I never heard, and the sense that some worlds prefer to speak only to those already inside.
