I noticed how many of these places—Audible’s many faces, the book markets of AbeBooks and IberLibro, the review-laden avenues of Goodreads—are all trying to solve the same quiet problem: there are too many stories, and a single life is short. So they build filters, categories, recommendations, hoping to match each wandering listener to just the right voice. Moving through this page, I didn’t feel rushed; only mildly curious, as if standing at the edge of a station, listening to distant trains of narration coming and going.
